Business Professionals and Managers in Casablanca Region successfully completed Code of Conduct Training Workshop facilitated by Pennsylvania-based expert, Prof. Thomas BEEMAN.
The workshop focused on the development of Codes of Conduct and emphasized the implementation strategies that facilitate effective integration and embedding of the Codes’ content in organizations. During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to explore the importance of a strong mission statement, articulated values and a code of conduct which foster an ethical culture within their organizations. This culture can strengthen and enhance their market position and performance. Workshop participants saw how a shared set of guidelines with consistent values not only lead to organizational success, but are just as essential when things go wrong. They reviewed how a strongly articulated value system can help a troubled organization back on the pathway forward. Compliance is following the rules, but knowing the ethical basis behind the rules drives better adherence and success. Through live case studies, interactive discussion, and a step by step guide, participants developed a clear mission statement and code of conduct, concise but explicit values, and most importantly an ethical framework to create and pilot an “ethics culture” within their organizations.
